Eric Huang, MD, PhD
Dr. Eric Huang is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He focuses his practice on medical dermatology, including skin cancer screening, surgical treatment of cancers, and treating such common conditions as acne, eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis.
Dr. Huang graduated from Pomona College, earning the distinctions of Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He then received his M.D. at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also received a PhD in cell and molecular biology, and was awarded the university’s Morton McCutcheon Memorial Prize.
He completed an internship in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, followed by his residency in dermatology at New York University. During his residency training, Dr. Huang completed a Sulzberger research fellowship, published in Endocrine Practice, and was awarded a Dermatologist Investigator Research Fellowship from the Dermatology Foundation.
Dr. Huang has published scholarly papers in prestigious journals including Genes and Development, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Journal of Biological Chemistry, and the Archives of Dermatology.
Since the completion of his training, Dr. Huang has worked in private practice in Manhattan and Brooklyn. He authors the immunodermatology chapter for the Dermatology In-Review study guide for board review. He is also a member of the Medical Society of New York and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
