LIPOSUCTION OVERVIEW
Liposuction is a technique which uses cannulas (hollow tubes), inserted through tiny incisions, to suction and painlessly remove excess fat and contour bulges. Dr. Levine performs this safely by infusing a solution into the areas being treated to minimize discomfort and bleeding. Dr. Levine performs superwet, tumescent, ultrasonic (Vaser), power assisted, and laser (Smartlipo) liposuction depending on the patient’s unique needs.  Liposuction usually takes from one to three hours depending upon the extensiveness of your personalized treatment. 

TYPES OF LIPOSUCTION

Dr. Levine integrates multiple liposuction modalities.  In addition to traditional liposuction, Dr. Levine utilizes, ultrasonic liposuction (Vaser Lipo), power assisted liposuction, and laser liposuction (Cynasure Smartlipo MPX).  The addition of Vaser ultrasonic liposuction and Smartlipo often allows for better results.  Dr. Levine will discuss at length which combination of traditional tumescent liposuction, Vaser ultrasonic liposuction, and Smartlipo is best for you.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR LIPOSUCTION SURGERY
Mild swelling and bruising are to be expected with liposuction surgery.  Compression garments are recommended after surgery.  Most patients are able to return to work within one week of surgery.
