Procedure

Your Quantum RF treatment will be performed in our office on the Upper East Side. You will have the option of having your treatment performed under twilight, local, or general anesthesia, but oftentimes, only local anesthesia is needed.

After preparing the treatment area, Dr. Elie Levine will use a handheld device to introduce radiofrequency waves to the treatment area. As these waves are absorbed into the skin, they are converted into thermal energy. This heat stimulates the production of collagen and elastin fibers within the dermis.

Dr. Elie Levine will continue performing the treatment until the entirety of the targeted area is addressed. Treatments may last under one hour, depending on the size of the treatment area, the type of concerns being addressed, and the extent of the treatment overall.

Recovery

One of the most substantial benefits of Quantum RF is its minimal recovery time. After your appointment, Dr. Elie Levine recommends that you rest; however, you may return to your normal activities as soon as the next day.

You may notice mild swelling or redness immediately after your treatment, but these effects are temporary and typically subside within 24-72 hours. You may be directed to avoid direct or excessive sun exposure, as well as strenuous or physical activities. You may also need to modify your skincare regimen for the time being.
